While my makeup routine has become slightly more advanced in the past year, it is still relatively simple enough to apply under 20 minutes. I've discovered a lot of great products recently that have made my life that much simpler. (Also if you're wondering if I took these in my bathroom, the answer is yes).
My updated products:
As someone who can't really bother to learn the intense process that is contouring, this product is exactly what I needed in order to simplify enhancing features. It's a double ended cream contour stick with a highlight on one side (I never use it).
I'm not gonna lie, what initially drew me to this product was how inexpensive it is. It ended up being one of my favorite everyday lip colors however and I highly recommend it (although don't expect it to be that great of a long lasting wear).
Have used this mascara for over a year now and have yet to find anything better.
I pop this onto my cheekbones almost everyday--it can be subtle if you want it to be, or you can build it up.
I'm a big fan of a cream highlighter, I find it a lot easier to control placement. This one can be a little intense but I love how glowy it is and not as "shimmery" as I find other highlighters to be.
As you can tell I'm a pretty big Benefit fan--this particular concealer will cover literally anything you're not likin on your face and doesn't leave you feeling cakey.
7. Urban Decay Primer Potion (on sale!)
I've had this in my makeup bag for years and never thought of using it until very recently. It's pretty much a classic; my eyeshadow lasts way longer and is stronger in color. Basically if you're looking for something that just gets the job done, this is what you want.
I'm going to be completely honesty and say I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to eyeshadow, which is why I almost always lean towards neutrals. This palette in particular allows me to be slightly more adventurous while staying somewhat in my comfort zone. I feel like it really opens up the eyes while remaining subtle. Although I have yet to actually do this, applying it as a highlighter might also be a possibility.
I've used liquid eye liners before, and at the moment I'm just not willing to splurge. This one is relatively easy to use and will last you all day.
Again, I was look for something relatively inexpensive and bought this somewhat on a whim. It's not super cakey and goes on well, although in my opinion you can tell you're wearing foundation. But if you're looking for something affordable, this is probably your best bet.
As much as I would like to experiment with my makeup in the future (the amount of YouTube tutorials I've watched is ridiculous), for now I try to keep it as straightforward as possible. Hope you enjoyed!
Until next time,
